I named Creepshow the greatest horror movie ever earlier today. I'm sure everyone has their opinion about the greatest horror movie ever made. But today, for me...it's Creepshow. Directed by Romero, Screenplay by Stephen King, Special Make up Effects by Tom Savini (some of his best work in this one), Incredible music by John Harrison and a dreamcast including Hal Holbrook, Adrienne Barbeau, Ted Danson, Fritz Weaver, Leslie Nielsen, Tom Atkins and a bunch of Romero regulars from his Pittsburgh Days. For me it's like the ultimate George A Romero film, it's Martin, Knightriders, Season of the Witch and his first Three Dead films rolled into one in typical early Romero Pittsburgh atmosphere. So, no. Nothing new to report here, just a little celebration of my now new favorite George A Romero movie: Creepshow.
