Info Post
Got this in the mail today:

I remember sitting behind the El Guapo Stuntteam merchandise table somewhere in Germany about ten years ago. The rest of the guys were backstage molesting the fridge as I was sitting there talking to a bunch of people wearing ANTiSEEN and David Allen Coe shirts. All of a sudden the door opens and the headliner for the night walks in. We knew we were doing a bunch of shows with them that week but we didn't know what to expect. Was this another american band who decorated themselves with rock and roll stuff such as shirts with flames on it, eightball tattoos and sophisticated sideburns running all over their faces, playing some shitty Cramps wannabe crap? Shit no, when that door opened it was like a scene from a ultra violent spaghetti western. It was like the horsemen of the apocalypse entered the building. Long haired, bearded guys who looked like they just stepped out of an ANTiSEEN merchandise commercial. I knew right at that moment this was going to be a hell of a night.

A few hours later I was standing in front of the stage with my brother looking at eachother knowing that we were having our asses KICKED at that very moment by the storm that was happening right in front of our very eyes! The Goddamn HOOKERS from Kentucky were unleashing hell in Germany! Whatever it was we did an hour prior on that same stage didn't seem to matter anymore for one bit! Shit, we couldn't even remember our band's name at that moment! This was rock n roll mayhem after our own hearts and very unlike most of the bands we had shared the stage with up to that point...with their shit watered down and fabricated 'I just bought my rock n roll outfit and started a rock n roll band' bullshit!
The rest of the tour we witnessed the band on a couple of occasions. An instore acoustic set of D.A.C. covers and a couple of times on a stage. The last one being at The Lintfabriek. A show we still talk about whenever I meet Peter.

Anyway, at the moment some ten or maybe a couple of more years after first meeting and seeing the band live, our building here is trembling by the songs on their new album HORROR RISES FROM THE TOMBS. Can't wait for their return to our little lost continent!
