El Guapo Stuntteam 2011-2011

Our little reunion is over and done. After almost three years it was a blast to see the band again with both line ups and to be part of it for a couple of seconds setting another 20 bucks suit on fire with me in it.

All the bands were amazing. I have no other word for it. Devil in Miss Jones, The Stilletos and of course The Monsters! Too bad I didn't see the other ones cause with an unlimited suply of German beer around you're not making those long trips to the room upstairs as often as you intended too.

In typical El Guapo Stuntteam fashion we didn't show up on our own. Eight of us in a speeding mercedes van was only part of the festivities. An hour after we arrived in Hamburg, a big old bus pulled up in front of the venue. About thirty drunken bastards had followed us just to watch the band again. Too bad around showtime we got the news about a broken nose and one of our fellow Belgians locked up in the pokey. Still not sure what happened, but pretty much like the past fifteen years...what happens in Hamburg, stays in Hamburg.

Gotta say i'm fifty/fifty happy with the fact that we're not doing this stuff every weekend anymore. Sure I miss the fun that one can only have while touring with a bunch of friends in a band, but then there's the 'after the show part' which in our case starts the minute we arrive somewhere.

So for now I'm gonna leave you guys with a big assed Hot Dog I was about to eat on our way over there. Three minutes before we almost got in a fight with some asshole band that pulled up at the same gasstation.
