I won't make it a thing to come post here all the time a celebrity or someone from the movies died, but Dan O'Bannon deserves atleast a writing attempt!
I'm not much of an Alien fan but Return of the Living Dead messed me up good back in the mid eightees. Who cares about the running zombies, this movie is fucking scarey! I still think it is and I know cause I watch it atleast twice a year. The film had the right humor, the dialogues, especially in the first 15 minutes of the movies is classic stuff and I still can't believe not many people, atleast the most I know in person who're into these kinda movies haven't noticed the Burt and Ernie thing!
Return of the Living Dead was also the very first movie I had on a VHS tape. I even provided the box with some custom artwork I tried to copy from the Soundtrack album sleeve, so we all know the artwork looked like a art project made by one of those handicapped people. Wish I still had it though...but with moving all the time, things get lost from time to time.
Also, when the movie came out, we lived about a one minute walk from the old cemetary and I was real glad when we finally moved away from there. Again, it's a movie that actually scared me, right up there with The Exorcist, The Evil Dead and the Michael Jackson Thriller video. Man, I ever mentioned I owned one of those red leather (plastic) jackets as seen in that video? Yeah, I got beat up alot in those days.
Anyway...Dan O'Bannon, the man who managed to scare me as a kid and responsible for my Linnea Quigley obsession, making me discover The Cramps, The Damned and last but not least ROKY ERICKSON!
Salute!
ps, he wrote Blue Thunder too, what a movie!

Youtube stuff...
I've been spending a lotta time on the floor with a big box of vhs tapes, a vcr, a pack of marlboros and a dvd recorder. The result...tears from laughter and some new hit videos over on youtube.
Maybe some of that stuff won't be as funny for those who weren't there but it doesn't matter. I've also uploaded some ancient El Guapo STuntteam live footage and there's plenty more to come.
Here's one of my personal favorites from 2003. It's from a show at the Lintfabriek, the number one venue in Belgium. Ofcourse the place is closed now. We opened for an amazing band from Lawrence Kansas, (that's a place over in the United States) called Cocknoose and I believe it was our very first time on national prime time television, so we figured we better try and impress the viewers at home. Not sure if it worked though.
